Recorded in the living room and pieced together while the band were split across 3 states, Poppyfields is a triumphant showing of the band’s evolving DIY credentials. Sporting ethereal synth lines, moody arrangements, soaring choruses and subtle themes of escapism, Poppyfields is an immersive soundscape for the recreational ruminator.

Texturally, Poppyfields sees Flower Extract step towards a more polished sound, building beautifully on the effortless ambience of their debut single “A Winter” whilst also capturing the pulsating energy of their latest release “ A River”. The end result is 3 minutes and 56 seconds of anthemic synth-psych that plays out as an emotive ode to the joys of music making, and the communities that it creates.
